Scott and I got together to record for the first time in eight years for this album. Back in high school we used to get together once a year or so and screw around with a four-track. That was state-of-the-art back then, I guess. Despite the long time away from jamming together we were able to pick up right where we left off -- acting and talking like snotty 18-year-olds. I think the mix of childish enthusiasm and grown-up discipline and talent made a good mix.

We only had four days or so to record everything so we picked some older songs of ours to reinvent and brought in a small handful of new compositions that we pieced together by e-mailed demos.
